My Experience:
I have extensive experience of working in education with children, Special Educational Needs (SEN), trauma, autism, ADHD and families. I was a primary school teacher from September 2000 to July 2011. I trained to become an Educational Psychologist in September 2011, completing my doctorate in September 2014. My Doctoral research was published in 2014 in the Journal for Educational and Child Psychology which I also presented at the CREN Conference in Sheffield and Trinity College, Dublin. I worked for Rotherham Educational Psychology from September 2014 until February 2022. I started a project on Antiracism following the Black Lives Matters protests which continues today at the service. I have since formed my own company to work privately for a large number of Local Authorities as well as tribunal assessments, private schools and families. I have delivered a wide range of training programmes including Autism, ADHD, ELSA, Therapeutic Story Writing, LAC Identity, Trauma Informed Practice and Approaches to Tackling Racism and Bias. I am qualified to assess for ADHD and I am particularly interested in assessing autism. I’ve written two books; one based on my faith and grief and a book based on my son’s diaries about his experience of autism.
